Squeaky Clean

The Miata got a drive thru car wash on the way back from lunch today. January/February is typically the rainy season here in North Alabama and it is difficult to keep the car clean. This wash was long overdue. Fortunately the sky is clear so it may stay clean for a day or two.

(And the bird badge is now gone.)

DRIVE THROUGH car wash? Can you do that? I worry too much about my top. I never used to hand wash my Accord but it only takes like four minutes to hand wash my Miata. Drive through? Really? Now I'm thinking.

Carol - To be perfectly honest with you, I am not sure I will do that again. That was it's first time through the car wash with me. The washing was not a problem, but when I got to the drying phase, I wasn't sure the top was going to make it. The air blows very hard and it was vibrating like, well, like a Miata top in a car wash. No harm done, but I don't know if I will do it again. Like you said it only takes a few mintues to wash.

I have been driving through a lot of construction lately and the roads are usually muddy. Couple that with the cold weather spell. The car was really dirty and I am too much of a whimp to wash it when it is 30 degrees outside. Sure I will drive it with the top down, but that is completely different because the heater is on.
