Is the 3.07 the standard gear set for our trucks? I assume that is what is mine, but I don't know.

The GM 12 bolt apparrently came in three common flavors. Another was 3.73. I don't recall the other 2.

The 3.07 gets the best MPG but has the least amount of torque.

Check the differential section of your LMC Truck catalog for the other common gear ratios.

I meant to say four common flavors, not three.

Angel - Three years ago I didn't know anything about cars. Now I am learning by doing.

Thanks for the complement.

And 2 years ago I knew squat about cars. But I am learning by breaking stuff and fixing it again.

So I need to break me some stuff and put it together.. Hmmmmm I might do that. Would hubby freak out? LOL

Learning as you go, that's what I did when I constructed a brick mailbox and built a few decks with hubby. Now I want my own tool box because hubby says I'm better at it than him. LOL
